In addition to Varla IBK, 30 other teams from 5 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Varla IBK could be found in Group 2 together with Gnosjö IBK, Mesta IBK, FBC Liberec and IBS Svedala. Varla IBK continued to Playoff A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against FC Helsingborg with 3-4. In the Final, FBC Liberec won over FbC Hradec Králové and became the winner of Playoff A in Boys 16. Varla IBK also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Innebandy Cup 2023. They reached the 1/16 Final in B15 Playoff B, but lost it against Stenungsunds IBK with 1-5.
